That Stubborn Strain

Female is experiencing thick, white, smelly vaginal discharge. The medication she’s been given for it appears to have done nothing. She also has issues with lubrication and cramping in her abdominal area. What is causing this array of problems, and what can be done to solve them?

Case #: 1371

Concern:

I have been to the doctor on several occasions for treatment. I get heavy white vaginal discharge and it has a foul odor. The medication that they give does not work. I get cramps in my abdominal area and every time I go they tell me nothing is wrong. When it comes to intercourse I don't get lubricated naturally sometimes. What can I use to treat this? Please help.

Discussion:

It seems you have an extremely stubborn bacterial infection that cannot be fought off. What needs to happen now is that you strengthen your immune system, increase your body’s detoxification ability, and keep yourself clean and dry to get rid of this infection once and for all.

And You Thought Your Current Symptoms Were Bad...

It’s not healthy for a bacterial infection to go unchecked, as you can do permanent damage to your pelvic region, even so far as creating scar tissue and being rendered infertile. If you have been given medication, and that medication hasn’t worked, it’s a signal that your body isn’t strong enough to fit the infection off, and you need to reinforce it.

A Failing Defense

Your vagina is a naturally acidic place, inhospitable to foreign invasion, and populated by a number of bacteria that belong in the area. When problems arise, it is because inappropriate bacteria take over the normal, good bacteria and colonize the vagina. This is what results in the smell and discharge you’ve been noticing.

The cramping is due to the irritation and inflammation of your entire vagina, and the issues with lubrication are the result of the unhealthy environment there at present. Once you free yourself of that irritating outbreak, you’ll stop having issues with cramping, and your vagina’s natural lubrication will return in full force.

How Healthy Is Your Vagina?

Your solution is to strengthen your immune system and create a vagina-healthy environment in your genital region. You can do this by implementing the following techniques. Drink lots of water. This is always important, but will aid your kidneys and liver in detoxification. Avoid sugars and simple carbohydrates, as this is the food of many bacteria, and it shows up in your vaginal mucous.

Do not douche, or use any scented products on or around your genital area. These can irritate the vagina, and disrupt the natural ecosystem of your body. Wear cotton panties as often as you can, and try to wear loose fitting bottoms. This allows beneficial airflow, keeping your genitals well ventilated. Bacteria flourish in hot, moist environments.

Working from the Inside Out

Beyond these basic tips, it’s important to consider what you’re putting into your body to keep it healthy. It sounds like your vagina needs a boost and you can get that extra protective power by beginning an herbal supplement. (SEE: Natural Formula for Vaginal Detox & Infection Relief) Women across the world have used specific plants for centuries to keep their vaginas healthy, such as Rehmannia—a powerful detoxifier, Fo Ti—which increases immune defense, and Mexican Wild Yam—which keeps vaginal tissues healthy and lubricated.

I’m sure that by implementing these practices, and beginning a course designed to help your vagina stay healthy, remove unwanted bacteria, and soothe and treat discharge, you’ll soon see a diminishing in your symptoms. Best of luck!
